Our Pastor: Joe Serrano
He received Jesus as his personal Savior at the age of 38 as a Marine while stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. Through the testimony of his Godly wife, he realized his need of salvation and left a life of alcoholism to live a life of service to the Lord. After being saved for 7 months, he followed God’s call and surrendered himself to the ministry, immediately beginning training for the ministry. While serving and learning at West Coast Baptist Church in Oceanside, California, God began burdening his heart for the people of El Paso. Although he did not know where God was leading him God began showing him the great need of a Gospel preaching, Baptist churches in a city of a million people. Being fluent in both English and Spanish, Pastor Serrano has a God given vision for not only the city of El Paso, but all the cities surrounding it. His goal is to plant more Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches in the city and surrounding areas while training men for full time service in the ministry.
